These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Synapse iPhone app (the “App”), provided by Arrakis Studios (“we,” “us”). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
The cognitive index and scores in Synapse are an estimate generated from your performance in an in-app exercise, shown on a 75–145 scale for motivation and progress tracking. They are not a clinical IQ test, a medical assessment, or a diagnosis, and must not be relied on as one. Synapse does not diagnose, treat, or prevent any condition.
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to use the App on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with these Terms and the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, including the standard Apple Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement (EULA). Where these Terms and the Apple standard EULA conflict, the Apple standard EULA governs to the extent of the conflict.
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to use the App and to purchase a subscription.
Purchases are processed by Apple, and refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com. We do not directly process payments or refunds.
You agree not to misuse the App, including reverse-engineering it (except as permitted by law), interfering with its operation, or using it in any unlawful way.
The App, its content, design, and branding are owned by Arrakis Studios and protected by applicable laws. These Terms do not transfer any ownership rights to you.
The App is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any result or score is accurate for any particular purpose.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Arrakis Studios will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including your statutory consumer rights.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date above, and material changes will be reflected in the App or on this page. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules, and subject to any mandatory consumer-protection rights available to you where you live.
